EXCELLENT Based on 204 reviews Posted on Google Shawn PetersenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Amazing experience from start to finish for our boat rental! The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure we felt comfortable before heading out. The boat was in excellent condition—clean, well-maintained. You can tell they really care about both their customers and their equipment. Highly recommend this rental service to anyone looking for a fun and hassle-free boating experience. We’ll definitely be back!Posted on Google Ben GoelzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Found us two perfect cabins on the same lake for our large family to rent. Added a pontoon that worked great. They were extremely friendly, and responsive, would highly recommend them.Posted on Google Tim DyerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Old fashion Service. How it use to be. Wonder knowledgeable, responsive to calls and texts. Equipment that is up to date that works first time every time. I damaged a prop on a pontoon. No problem and more than reasonable replacement cost. Very happy with everyone I at Charter Marine. Will be the only one I use and recommend. Thank you Josh and Ryan. See you next seasonPosted on Google Lynn JacquesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What an easy and wonderful experience. The dropped off the patoon right at the rental dock. Our family enjoyed a weekend of fishing and cruising. Friendly staff answered all questions and made our vacation so enjoyable.Posted on Google David WenkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had excellent service at Clearwater Lake cabin! We also rented the double decker pontoon which was fantastic for the whole family and delivered right to our dock. Our son left his wallet in a cubby on the pontoon and they were so kind to find it for him and deliver it back to our cabin. Great service all around, ThanksPosted on Google Preston PolingTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Review of Chartered Rental – Minnesota Location We rented two jet skis from the Minnesota location of Chartered Rental while staying on Swan Lake. Unfortunately, our experience left us feeling overcharged and misled. The advertised price for one jet ski was roughly $300 (including tax), which should have totaled around $600 for two. After additional charges and fees, however, the final bill came to approximately $1,400—nearly double what we expected to pay. When the jet skis were delivered, we asked about fuel and were told by the delivery staff that “it should last all day on a full tank.” In reality, we ran out of fuel within an hour. During the ride, one rider fell off, taking the key with them—only then did we discover the keys do not float. We spent about 30 minutes searching for it at the bottom of the lake. Returning the jet skis was also frustrating. We arrived to drop them off and waited for an hour, only to be told the staff were “busy.” Eventually, I transported them myself back to the property where we were staying—an Airbnb owned by the same person, Josh, who owns Chartered Rental. While driving home, I received a call informing me of additional charges. While I’m sure these fees were buried in the rental agreement, the situation felt deliberately designed to maximize profit—especially given that the business owner was also our Airbnb host. Our Airbnb experience wasn’t much better. One of the main advertised amenities—a game room—was locked and unavailable for our entire stay. The day after we left, Josh messaged our group asking for extra payment for trash services. Overall rating: 1/10. If you rent from this company, expect to pay about twice the advertised price, and be prepared for additional surprise charges.Posted on Google Lisa PetersonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
